Homecoming 2006!!!

Oh my, it's feast or famine around here with my camera. I ventured out to our homecoming celebration and had a ball. We lost....oy we lost....but it was really fun nonetheless. I usually have to go out and FIND color but in one day I think I've captured more color on camera than I have all year!

Still editing school and a "Pump it UP" birthday party but here's what I can post so far from the boy's school celebration.

This is the very reason I don't my my Andrew playing with the "big boys". See the head being crushed? Yeah, the boy is fine but geesh, I don't want my baby to be on the bottom of some pile of big boys! Ah, but you know if he does play, I'll be out there taking pictures and posting saying "Wow, look at this cool action shot I got" Just me and my sick ways I guess.

We're all done with the "Foos - Ball"

And the kid want's to play in High School! Lord help me, it's really not HIM I'm worried about, it's all the 'other' kids!

I've take sooo many football pictures it's gonna need to be a mini-book. Andrew and I have already come up with a "theme". Yes, it's football of course but a "not a WATERBOY" football album. Yes, it will include many, many quotes from the Adam Sandler movie "the Waterboy".

If you know my family and you've spent ANY time around my boys you'll understand. See, the boys watch the same movie over and over and OVER again. Until they can quote every line from every scene. They've been doing it since they were barely able to talk. Will and Ben would be playing in the room quoting lines from "Aladdin" to eachother. Yes, I believe it's a sickness.

So here I am in the middle of this "sickness" and have agreed to put stupid titles and quotes in my next scrapbook album. So if you see football pictures with page titles like "I'm sorry....Will you still be my friend?", "No, get away from me!", "You SUCK!", "Medula Oblongata", "It's of the Devil!", "That's some high quality H2O", "He's the best line backer since Joe Montana".

Don't worry I haven't lost my mind, I'm just molding my scrapbooks to something my boys can relate to :)

My Andrew, I don't know what the play was but he was apparently hyped up about something. The boy takes his sports seriously, he scares me LOL

It felt good to get the camera out!

I've been shooting flag football and have some really cool shots, sorry I can't share :( BUT I will share some shots I got last night.

I had the privilege of photographing a fund raising event for my friend Teena's brother who was tragically taken from his family just a few weeks ago. Here is a link to the story There is a benevolent fund set up for his young wife and child. I may be able to share some photos of the event at a later time. It was so amazing to see a community of friends come together in support of this family.

Having the camera in my hands felt so good that I just couldn't sit at home and scrap or clean so I decided to go on a late night drive. Little Willy jumped into the car with me and we headed off for who knows where. We drove south to the Dumbarton bridge and then through Burlingame and San Bruno into San Francisco.

We got out and strolled around the Piers around the Ferry Building and then on our way across the Bay Bridge we decided to visit Treasure Island and get another perspective. It was an amazingly beautiful, clear night and wasn't cold at all. I was kinda bummed I didn't have my tripod with me but I think the pics came out alright anyway :)

Enjoy the view, I know I sure did!

Dad did really well in Reno, for once!

My dad is so funny, he makes these really silly gestures when he misses.

My dad and I have been going to his bowling tournament in Reno, every October for about 7 years now. It's become a tradition. Sometimes his wife comes along, sometimes she hasn't. Either way, we hang out together, eat too much and I try to help him keep his gambling losses to a minimum :)

Every year he's choked in the tournament. My dad has a decent average of about 173, in Reno it's been more like 123. This year he met and went beyond his average, a personal best for him during tournament play in Reno. So all in all, it was a good weekend.

While my dad and Chris spent time in the casino, I ventured out by myself to take in the sights, sounds, smells AND tastes of the Italian Festival. Mmmm, I just can't undertand people feeding cash into those annoying, little noisy machines, when you can use that same cash and feed your face with some awesome grub! Yummy :)
